How to wear - FELINE TEE - look one

Every blogger I see seems to have THAT Celine t-shirt so when I found this adorable parody 'feline' t-shirt I had to buy it! It also comes in white but they grey colour for me is much more versatile.

I decided after my 28days of wearing the same dress for charity that I would do little 'how to wear' posts as it was the styling challenge that I loved. So this is my first one but I promise many more! If you ever see me wearing something here or on instagram and would like to see other ways to wear it just let me know and I'll do a post on it <3

The mix of the pastel polka dot skirt and the wedges makes the outfit a little more playful, I actually wore this to work but I'd also wear it dancing, or with a pair of creepers for shopping/drinks.

tally & hoe sneak peek

So I would like to introduce you to a jewellery brand I am totally in love with.

Tally & Hoe was started by the beautiful Anna as a hobby whilst she worked as a graphic designer, it quickly grew and its now her full time job, and you can see why! Everything is made with love and inspired by her everyday life in Brighton.
You can buy it from ASOS or the Tally & Hoe online store.

This is the new collection and will launch in the next couple of weeks.

My fav's are the Diamond ring and the nautical bracelet, whats yours?

don't fade away

In work I always feel its easy to get bogged down and forget things....even yourself!
When you work in an office (even in a creative industry) the black hole that is your working space can become like a beige monster with no personality...OK that was a little melodramatic but you get the idea!

I like to keep a couple of mementos on my desk that make me smile, because sometimes you need that when you've had four meeting's back to back and your inbox has 200 emails in it. Now I'm not talking bunting and balloons, (although that would be nice wouldn't it?!) just something to make you smile.

Lucky cat - present from the BF from New York

Heart stamp - Present from one of my suppliers in China, she actually made it and it say's my name! too cute

Hand cream - I am in love with Burts Bees products and this almond milk and beeswax hand cream not only makes your hands feel amazing it also smells devine

Heart peg - I've had this for so long I have no idea where it came from, much better than a paperclip!

Cute post it notes - leaving yourself to do lists is never fun but when they're on powerpuff girl post its they feel like a breeze

What's on your desk?

Lavender, pastel pink hair tutorial

The easy way to Mermaid worthy hair

Fresh roots :)

I liked the effect of white to lavender but I wanted to share my pastel hair secret with you...um again...

Step one: Choose your weapons!

I've found mixing brighter colours works better and you get more for your money as you only need to use a little! I'm currently LOVING midnight blue directions and cyclamen crazy colour.

Step 2: Mix with conditioner

I use Tresemme conditioner as its thick and because you leave it on for a while it acts as a masque. Put a substantial amount of conditioner in a mixing bowl, add a little of the blue and a tiny bit of the pink until you have the colour you want, it should be similar to the colour above for a lavender colour.

Step 3: Apply

Apply all over your hair in sections and comb through, leave it on for 30 minutes.

Step 4: Mix your pink for the dip dye.

With what hair dye you have left add another drop of the pink, mix & add more until it has a visible pink tone, remember you can always add more but you can't take anyway!
Rinse the lavender out of your hair thoroughly and towel dry.
Add the pink to the very ends and work up a couple of inches, make sure the ends are completely covered and rub in. Leave for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse out a few times to make sure there is no conditioner left.

Step 5: Aftercare

After towel drying add a tiny bit of Moroccan oil to the ends and spray sea salt spray to the roots. Blow dry but leave slightly damp, do to bed and you wake up with a nice texture to your hair.

And there you have it! Really easy and you can vary the amounts of dye you use to get your desired effect and remember if it is darker than you want just wash it and it'll go paler!

Let me know if you try it I'd love to see photos! <3

little garden

So a little while ago I arranged with the beautiful photographer and blogger Charlotte Summers (Coco for short) to go down to London to take part in an idea that she had, to combine her skills and do some photography sets for other bloggers! You can read the full interview with me and the rest of the girls here.

It really helped that it turned out to be a nice sunny day in London and the little garden beside the big purple cow was literally like being in another city. So peaceful.

Anyway, here's my photos! Let me know what you think. <3

I had so much fun messing around in the sun with the girls and as a blogger who lives in the middle of nowhere it was really nice to meet some like minded people. I definitely think it's something I want to do more of!

Oh and dont forget to nominate me for the best new fashion blog in

summer stripes

I think there's just something about stripes in the summer, they're so versatile, wearing Brenton stripes with jeans and brogues for a really preppy look, black and white striped dress with some JC'c for a little Lolita twist or just a plain and simple nautical look. I bought this little tshirt from H&M's basic section and it's become a wardrobe staple for me. With the sun splitting the skies today I wanted to wear it with pale colours so the focus was all on the stripes....or the flowers in my hair in hindsight!

How do you wear stripes?

Also, dont forget to nominate me for the 'Cosmo blog awards - best new fashion blog' I would love to even be on the shortlist!

DIY wrapping paper

It's nearly wedding season, and everyone I know seems to have a birthday in May or June.
I love giving presents, I love the whole process, the challenge of finding something perfect for someone you love, I may not always be on time with gifts but I have to say they're always pretty good.

One thing I have found is that I don't like wrapping paper, I think its so mass produced for something so personal so I have started making my own, it's not hard but here is a step by step breakdown tutorial <3

1. Find an image or group of images that your friend will like, for example I know that my friend loves vintage fashion so I searched for Rene Graua images on google
2. Take a screen shot of the images for a more collective look or save the image you want to use

3. I use paint to re size (you can use PS obviously but I think this way is quicker and YES I do still use paint for stuff!)
4. Print as many pages as you need onto A3, I have found that for a book sized present you only need one page

And your done! Not hard at all and it makes everything so much nicer.

Do you have any tips for making your own wrapping paper or cards?

punk rock and fashion

When I think of punk and fashion I immediately think of Vivienne Westwood, shops like trash and vaudeville, tartan (YUP), safety pins and customised clothes.
I do not think of Anna Sui. I love her work as a designer but know nothing really about her past.

I love this interview. LOVE it.

Just had to share <3

Is there anything you've learned about a designer that made you re-look at what you think of them?

can I wear a tea cosy on my ass?

The answer would be yes. This spring I am in love with crochet shorts...heres my pick of the best 5 on the high street

Topshop £32
I love the little crochet inserts in the side, a more subtle hint to crochet these mint shorts are perfect for work, I'd wear with an embellished collar white shirt and some white cut out brogues

BooHoo £18
The colour of these shorts makes them really versatile, for a more punk look I'd wear these with an old band tee and some black creepers.

Forever21 £19.75
These pastel pink crochet shorts are absolutely adorable. Wear with a chambray sleeveless shirt and nude wedges for a cute summer outfit.

Cream crochet shorts are a wardrobe staple this summer, these would look perfect with a grey tshirt (preferably one with a cat on it) and some little leopard print booties
Missguided £19.99
I love a good dip dye and these would look amazing on the beach or at a festival, perfect with a loose cropped vest and a pair of grungy lace up boots, make your hair super messy and channel your inner Courtney <3

sunshine and lollipops

Maybe there's no Lollipops but there should be! Walking up to glorious sunshine should happen everyday.

Because of this I decided to crack out my favourite pegasus body suit and pretend the sunshine actually meant that it was warm! Worn with a pair of highwaisted jeans and little nude slipper's I think it gives it a slight vintage look...if only I was going to the seaside to eat ice-cream instead of work!
I used bastille volumizing dry shampoo on my hair to give it the matte out of bed style.
